Fulbright Workshop at the 11th Conference on British and American Studies in Brasov

On April 19, the Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission enriched the debates at the 11th Conference on British and American Studies at Transylvania University of Brasov with a panel on “The Fulbright Gateway to the Diversity of American Culture”. The keynote topic of the conference was “Embracing Multitudes of Meaning”, and the panelists challenged the participants with a lively discussion on diaspora and diversity. The panel was moderated by Elijah Ferbrache, U.S. Fulbright grantee affiliated with Transilvania University. The speakers included Dr. Rodica Mihaila, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission, Dr. Bogdan Tudor Tulbure, Fulbright alumnus and lecturer at Transylvania University, Dr. Gene Tanta and David Dulceany, Fulbright grantees affiliated with the University of Bucharest.

The event was attended by other participants in the conference and by faculty and students from Transilvania University who contributed to the conversation with their own questions, comments, and experiences with diversity, diaspora and especially with the Romanian community in the United States and the ways in which intercultural dialogue strengthens ties between nations.
