„Diploma of Excellence” to the Fulbright Commission

The Fulbright Commission was awarded a Diploma of Excellence for „dedication and commitment to the long lasting values of higher education in the field of international economic relations”, at the festive event organized by the Faculty of International Economic Relations celebrating the centennial of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies (ASE).

Fulbright Grantee Organizes the First “Transatlantic Mountain Cultures: Appalachian and Carpathian Perspectives” Lecture Series

On 12 April 2013, Transylvania University of Brașov hosted its first lecture series on “Transatlantic Mountain Cultures: Appalachian and Carpathian Perspectives.” Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Elijah Ferbrache, along with professors Dr. Cristian Pralea and Dr. Georgeta Moarcăs organized the event.

"My daughter, Amanda, is almost 24. She loves animals, small children, film-making, writing, swimming, and talking about science. She is also autistic and deaf. In coming to Romania she has had several marvelous opportunities to share aspects of her life and to benefit as a result. She has volunteered at Invingem Autismul, a center for young children with autism.
