My Fulbright Scholarship to the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars was a great opportunity for me as a mature scholar not only to pursue my research interest but also to meet a network of world-class scholars and policymakers in Washington, D.C. and to present some of my work to a global audience. As a Visiting Scholar I had the chance to do research at the Wilson Center and Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. and to some universities such as Columbia University and University of Pittsburgh and to meet several academics. On the other hand, I had a chance to present my research books and articles and to participate to some debates at the University of Pittsburgh, Hudson Institute or Georgetown University and to attend some wonderful events organized by the Romanian Embassy. In conclusion, my three months experience as a Visiting Scholar fitted perfectly into the general goal of the Fulbright Program as an international educational and cultural exchange program.
