International University Fair for Undergraduate Studies

On Thursday, March 13th, the Fulbright Educational Advising Center (FEAC) conversed with over 200 high school students at an international education fair in Bucharest, organized by Student Recruitment Tours (STR). Continuing our collaboration started last year, FEAC and SRT partnered up again for this fair held at the Marshal Garden Hotel this time and interacted with students from high schools all over Bucharest.

During the fair, students from over 5 high schools in Bucharest asked questions about U.S. study, with particular focus on financial aid opportunities and the benefits of the Liberal Arts System. Discussions about the very broad topic of tertiary education in the USA led to questions about everything form the SATs to sororities; from English proficiency exams to the value of volunteerism in high school.  The majority of young scholars inquired about the admissions process and scholarship opportunities.

FEAC/EducationUSA representatives responded with advice, resources, and the promise of further support as these students consider continuing their education in the United States. During this fair, over 250 high schoolers interested in continuing their education in the U.S. got connected with FEAC, as well as their teachers, and learned more about how our center can help them during their application, our services and resources and about the study opportunities at U.S. universities.
