Last week one half of the FEAC-EducationUSA advising team was present in Iaşi to advertise study and research opportunities in the United States via the Fulbright Awards, as well as through independent applications.
On March 28, the FEAC adviser met with undergraduates and graduate students interested in pursuing a graduate program or in conducting research in the United States. The presentation, kindly hosted and co-organized by the Department of International Relations within the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi, focused on the Fulbright Student Award for Romanian citizens, but also tackled questions about the Fulbright Senior Award competition, which is yet to be launched. Professor Ovidiu Călţun (“Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi, Fulbright Grantee 2018-2019, California Polytechnic State University) was present at the event and kindly agreed to share a bit of his personal experience as Senior Fulbright Grantee, as well as useful tips to help guide potential applicants through the Fulbright application process and beyond.
Many thanks to Professor Călţun, as well as to Gina Marinescu and Ioana Serafinceanu, Department of International Relations, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi, who kindly lent their support in organizing and promoting the event.
