Besides his teaching activities on Artificial Intelligence in Physics at the University of Bucharest, U.S. Fulbright Scholar Ovidiu Calin, Professor at Eastern Michigan University, has recently participated in several events and engagements centered on AI:
• October 17, 2024: Spoke about AI applications in business at a workshop with local industry representatives organized by DWF (Digital Workforce) in Bucharest.
• October 15, 2024: Delivered a talk on AI’s societal impact at an event hosted by the Big Life Project Foundation.
• October 21, 2024: Featured in an interview following the announcement of the Nobel Prize in Physics for AI applications. The prize was awarded to professors from Princeton and Toronto Universities, institutions with which Dr. Calin has collaborated during his academic career.
• October 30, 2024: Presented as a keynote speaker at the SaaSStock Local Bucharest conference, sharing insights alongside tech and business experts.
• November 4, 2024: Participated in the 30th anniversary celebration of the Mihai Drăgănescu Institute for Artificial Intelligence Research at the Romanian Academy.
