On December 16, the FEAC-EducationUSA advising team was present in Craiova for a series of outreach presentations, highlighting study and research opportunities in the United States via the Fulbright Awards, as well as independent study opportunities at an undergraduate or graduate level.
The first presentation of the day, kindly hosted and co-organized by the University of Craiova, was aimed at undergraduates and graduate students interested in study and research opportunities in the United States and focused on the Fulbright Student Award for Romanian citizens. Current U.S. Fulbright grantees Carson Parent and Allen Chen also took part in the event, sharing a bit of their personal experience as U.S. Fulbrighters to Romania, as well as useful tips to help guide potential applicants through the Fulbright application process and beyond.
Later that day, the FEAC advisers, accompanied by Fulbright ETA Allen Chen, met with high schoolers interested in studying in the U.S., at American Corner Craiova. The audience – mainly 11th graders – had a chance to learn more about the U.S. higher education system, as well as about the resources awaiting them at FEAC and the EducationUSA Opportunity Funds program.
Many thanks to Assistant Professor Sorin Cazacu, University of Craiova, and Ms. Mădălina Băileşteanu, American Corner Craiova coordinator, who kindly lent their support in organizing and promoting the events.
