Professor Ovidiu Călțun, Fulbright Visiting Scholar at California Polytechnic State University, was invited by Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University and Florida State University as a guest lecturer on two topics: “Teaching Circuits, Sensors and Actuators – an European Approach” and “Magnetic Nanoparticles for Technological and Medical Applications – From Research Lab to Outreach Activities for Scholars to increase the interest in STEM. European experience”. Professor Călțun shared the European perspective on STEM education and discussed future trends with academics, graduate and undergraduate students.
The visit was made possible through the Outreach Lecturing Fund (OLF) which provides funding for campuses to host Fulbright Visiting Scholars, already in the United States, for short-term speaking engagements.
