"I brought back enduring connections with colleagues and friends and a resolve to return to reconnect and continue to explore the hidden corners of Romania and maybe find my own special spot in a secluded 'sat.'"
The Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission and the EducationUSA-affiliated Fulbright Educational Advising Center made another stop in this year’s fall edition of the International Study Day (ISD) tour, alongside the British Council, Campus France, and DAAD, in Târgovişte, at two of the city’s top schools – “Constantin Carabella” National College and “Ienăchiţă Văcărescu” National College.
The 130 participants from both schools – mainly 10th and 11th graders – were happy to learn more about the American higher education system, the application process, and financial aid opportunities, as well as the ways in which FEAC-EducationUSA can help them navigate the process. We also took this opportunity to advertise our newly launched competition for next year’s EducationUSA – Opportunity Funds cohort.
The International Study Day project consists of a series of outreach presentations jointly organized by the British Council, Campus France, DAAD, and the Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission in various cities throughout the country, targeting the underserved student population.
