In the week March 26-30 students and PhD researchers from the University of Bucharest had the opportunity to learn more about Fulbright study and research directions in the U.S. in the academic year 2019-2020 through a series of on-site presentations held at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies and the Faculty of Biology. The events focused on the ongoing Fulbright Student Award competition for master’s studies and non-degree research at U.S. universities and offered the prospective applicants information concerning the application steps, funding, fields of study or research, selection criteria and required documentation. The audience also had the opportunity to ask specific questions about the application process and the Fulbright experience, as well as to find out more about the educational services and resources provided by the Fulbright-Education USA Advising Center.
The presentations were facilitated by Fulbright academics whom we would like to thank for their continuous support and generosity: Professor Dr. Marian Preda, Fulbright Senior Alumnus, Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, Associate Professor Violeta Ristoiu, Fulbright Senior Alumna, Faculty of Biology and Dr. Rodica Sutu, Fulbright Senior Alumna, Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies.
