Fulbright Alumna Ștefania Szeibert-Kerekeș has recently published her book, Health Policy Strategies Applicable in Case of Pandemic/Epidemic Outbreak in the EU and USA (Direcţii strategice în politicile de sănătate din UE şi SUA în caz de pandemie/epidemie). This work is the result of extensive research, made possible in part through her participation in the Fulbright Student program during 2020-2021.
The book addresses one of the most pressing global challenges of our time: how nations prepare for and respond to health crises such as pandemics. Although pandemics transcend national borders, policy responses can vary significantly between countries and regions. Through a comparative lens, Ștefania examines the strategic approaches taken by the EU and the USA, highlighting how these differences shape the course and impact of outbreaks.
Originally published in Romanian by Presa Universitară Clujeană, the book is now available in English, making it accessible to a wider international readership.
