"I brought back enduring connections with colleagues and friends and a resolve to return to reconnect and continue to explore the hidden corners of Romania and maybe find my own special spot in a secluded 'sat.'"
On March 23, U.S. Fulbright ETA Amy Biedermann organized an info session about study and research opportunities in the United States via the Fulbright Awards, as well as through independent applications.
The presentation, kindly hosted and co-organized by the Faculty of Letters within “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galați, focused on the Fulbright Student Award for Romanian citizens, but also tackled questions about other study opportunities. Fulbright ETA Andreea Ciobanu, currently affiliated with the University of Bucharest, was present at the event and kindly agreed to share her academic experience as a Yale graduate, as well as useful tips to help guide potential applicants through the Fulbright application process and beyond, while Romanian program coordinator Corina Dănăilă joined via zoom and spoke about our currently open competitions.
Many thanks to Amy Biedermann, Andreea Ciobanu, and the Faculty of Letters, “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galați, for their initiative and support in organizing and promoting this outreach event.
